Last day of the season for the Llyn. Overcast conditions. Not much surface activity. Overal a good season and look forward to next year.

Stunning spot – few fish moving but difficult to tempt – my excuse

Combined total 2 rods. Tough going with a steady easterly breeze and air temperature of 13 degrees. Majority of fish caught between 10.30 and 13.00.

Intending to make a quick visit.

Pat Conner 27/08/2021 10:00 15:00 6 5

Very little rising but the ones that did took a muddler minnow fished static during a period of one and a half hours, nothing before and after.

Mungo Munro 27/08/2021 10:00 17:00 0 0 0 0

Didn’t fish

This is a joint catch, between myself and Terry Carrington. Same amount of fish missed or lost, good day, plenty rising, black cdc and bibio used.

Pat Conner 23/08/2021 09:00 16:00 8 1

Plenty rising but hard to tempt I tried everything but the fly box itself.

A very short evening visit with my son Dan, more for the scenery than the fishing, we did manage a couple each on Diawl Bach, very enjoyable

David Barker 20/08/2021 09:00 13:00 0 3

Plenty of fish showing.. All caught on far side from car park, but had a nice fish at start of Reservoir wall where wind was pushing insects towards.. windy day.. lost 5 fish due to being half asleep and not paying attention.. All caught on small black ants and Daddy Long Legs… Great fun!!

Ian Baguley 12/08/2021 13:00 15:30 0 9 5 1

That’s 15 between myself and Mungo who landed a whopping fat 17 inch fish. There is now a rebuilt stile and a small bridge across the leg breaking gully halfway along the north shore.

Mungo Munro 27/07/2021 14:00 16:00 0 0 2 0

Brief visit. Nice wave. Please note that the official track has now been cleared and is open for access.

Ian Baguley 26/07/2021 14:00 16:00 1 1

Water 20 degrees, good wave, plenty of active fish but all in the shallow at top end. Rose and missed quite a few.

David Carrington 16/07/2021

Visit cancelled for both of us, think it will be too bright and hot, will re-book for a day next week.

David Carrington 16/07/2021 10:00 16:00

Cancelled

Richard Herzog 09/07/2021 15:30 20:00 2 5 2

Steady rise. Small black fly most successful. Defeated by midges in the end.

Richard Herzog 23/06/2021 10:30 13:00 8

Weather forecasting reputation in tatters- much cooler and wetter than I expected!

Mungo Munro 16/06/2021 14:00 19:30 0 22 12 6

Combined total of self and guest. Great days sport. Overcast with a good wind and wave. Many fish missed. Mixture of fish caught on wets and dries and caught in all areas of the Llyn. Best fish a plump 15”

Jeremy Schrecker 06/06/2021 11:30 16:30 2

Clouds of midges at times lots of rising trout when they occurred, some big olives, couldn’t take advantage.

John Hewitt 03/06/2021 11:00 13:00 0 8

Lovely day. Cool, 12 degrees, when 17 or 18 degrees in Oswestry.

Pat Conner 30/05/2021 10:30 16:30 11 5 3

Mad 2hrs on hawthorn fly then quietened down during the afternoon picked odd fish here and there on a small hopper.

Robert Boutflower 22/05/2021 15:30 18:00 3 1

Got there a bit late

Wilf Nelson 22/05/2021 10:00 17:00 12 8

wild and woolly, cold, rain and hail in the morning. Didnt bother the fish which rose well until 1.30. all on the dry.

Richard Herzog 14/05/2021 11:30 15:00 4

Tough going in the morning with fish concentrating on very small flies. Improved as it warmed up and some larger fly appeared.

Mungo Munro 10/05/2021 11:00 15:30 0 7 5 0

Wild and woolly fishing day. Eventually driven off by wind. Very quiet in the morning but picked up after 1pm. Most fish on black and peacock spider and Kate McLaren.

Brian Owen 08/05/2021 11:00 16:00 8 2

My guest Tim Morris’s catch return, all caught on wets in the ripple, Hares ear won the day

Brian Owen 08/05/2021 11:00 16:00 5 1

Super days fishing with my friend and guest Tim Morris, in difficult weather conditions

John Wood 30/04/2021 12:00 16:00 1 0 5

Some caught on top with a sedge in a blizzard

Steve Gauge 06/05/2021 08:00 14:00 1 1

Bitterly cold, had to retreat to the car a couple of times. Used the farm track on the way down as I could hear bikes using the trails on the other route. Not recommended for regular vehicles at present. Not just the forestry section where they have been felling but the upper and lower sections are getting rougher and harder work.

Brian Owen 08/05/2021

Bitterly cold

Mungo Munro 29/04/2021 10:30 15:00 0 6 2 0

Bitter wind with some sleet showers made the day challenging. There is a good head of fish under 9”. Hopefully the larger fish will come out to play once the air and water temperatures lift. Just a fabulous place to fish at any time.

John Wood 30/04/2021 11:00 17:00

Saturday 1st May – Intention to fish with 1 guest

Ian Baguley 23/04/2021 10:30 16:00 9 3

Black spider and silver invicta worked through a lovely wave got them interested in full sun. THE TRACK UP IS STILL COVERED IN BRUSHWOOD AND UNLESS YOUR GROUND CLEARANCE IS 8 INCHES OR MORE EITHER GO REALLY SLOWLY OR TAKE THE LONGER BIKERS TRAIL UP.

Mungo Munro 23/04/2021 10:30 15:00 0 3 3 0

Chairman on a roll. Fish rising very close to margins but not very responsive.

Pat Conner 20/04/2021 11:00 14:30 4 1

Plenty of fish rising but i think they were taking an emerging midge. There is a Canada goose sitting a clutch of eggs on the left bank, frogs mating all over the lake and I heard and saw my first Cuckoo of 2021. Great place.

Richard Herzog 16/04/2021 10:30 13:00 8 2

Fish rising sporadically. A very enjoyable first foray of the season.

Mungo Munro 12/04/2021 10:30 15:00 1 4 2

Snow covered hills and 4 deg C Max didn’t stop sporadic rising fish. Jagged several more and lost 2 good fish. All trout in good condition. Despite cold, superb first day out after lockdown. Please note that at present the approved track to the Llyn is blocked due to tree felling. You need to access the Llyn via the longer forestry road.

Ian Baguley 12/04/2021 11:30 15:00 5 1

Mostly to a black nymph. Yet others tried to take as it hit the surface. Best 16 inch and plump

Charles Morris 23/02/2021 10:30 11:00 0

test working ok
